Hisel Flynn Architect’s office space is located in the top floor of a colonial-era timber framed building that has been around for 200+ years. We love being right in town, watching and hearing kids (including our many own) gaggle down the street after school, popping in to local shops, getting to know our business neighbors and wonderful landlord, and generally soaking in the details and layers of this cheerful, bright, cozy space that we worked so hard to renovate a couple of years ago. We pulled out centuries of crummy finishes to reveal the original floors, framing, and space including an ancient painted sign floor board among the pumpkin pine - a relic of the building’s past life when it resided next door, on Mass Ave, before it was dragged by oxen to its present spot.
